This film focuses on the unique properties of objects viewed in close-up. It emphasises the importance of colour, shape and texture in identifying familiar objects, while stimulating curiosity about things that cannot be seen unaided by the human eye.

This 9-minute, color film is designed to familiarize students in grades 1 through 3 with the world around them. The children in the film look through magic glasses whose lenses magnify the view, enabling them to investigate qualities of shape, size, color, and texture of familiar objects in detail. Part 1, "A Guessing Game," views objects such as teeth, skin, paint, peanut butter, and broccoli in close-up pictures. Part 2, "What Do You See?" views microorganisms living in a bird bath. Part 3, "Water Drops Closer and Closer," allows students to view falling raindrops in slow motion. The absence of narration allows the viewer to interpret the discoveries on this own
