A drama that examines the effects of separation and divorce on a family, particularly on the 12-year-old daughter, Helen. For two years, Helen's father has been living in a distant city. Helen plays the role of older sister to two other children and plays a special part in the life of her mother. This film documents the changes in the family's dynamics as a result of the divorce and follows Helen's growth as an individual learning to cope with this major upset in her life.
