Covers the three Hunger Marches organized by the National Unemployed Workers Movement in 1932, 1934 and 1936.Presents official responses to unemployment such as the British Medical Association’s advice on nutrition and diet when living on the dole, the Government Loans Scheme which enabled shipbuilding to recommence at Clydeside, the Land Settlement Scheme and the Royal Tours of unemployed areas.
