Winter in the country and man collapses while shoveling snow. Wife tries to drive to town on tractor thrown deep snow it doesn’t work. She walks to a neighbors house and uses a telephone. The snow plows clear the road ad she gets a ride into town to talk to the doctor. The town in general decides to modernize with a new telephone system. Farmers meet for a meeting on telephones. Shows telephone polls being drilled into the ground. There’s a town celebration for the new phones. Visual gag: Man in suit points to globe to explain telephone networks.
