Description: Dating to the 1960s, this ad for Hi-C "the sensible drink", features Dad having a birthday and being introduced to the new family dog. Hi-C is a fruit juice–flavored drink made by the Minute Maid division of The Coca-Cola Company. Hi-C was created by Niles Foster in 1946. The sole original flavor was orange, with more flavors added over time. By 1958, Hi-C fruit drinks had become an American supermarket staple, available in every grocery store nationwide. It is currently sold in drink boxes and at soda fountains.
