Description: This 1960 home movie captures the Riley family vacation across the western United States and Canada. This segment documents stops in Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Parks; Salem, Oregon; and Orcas Island, Washington. At the Grand Canyon, the Rileys go horseback riding and observe a Native American dance performance. At Yosemite, they marvel at the sequoias and hike around Yosemite Falls. After a stop in Salem to visit the Oregon State Capitol, the Rileys venture on to Canada, where they visit Victoria, British Columbia. There, they explore Thunderbird Park and enjoy in a horse-drawn carriage tour. A ferry takes the family back to the states, docking in Orcas Island, Washington.
