Description: A docu-drama account of a 10-year-old emotionally disturbed Black boy who is unwanted, misunderstood, and inwardly tortured. Living in Harlem, the child withdraws within himself and drifts into delinquency. In rehabilitation at the Wiltwyck School, the emotional damage has been so severe that he becomes the quiet one., An award-winning documentary drama. Donald Peters is a mentally disturbed boy, an only child, and the victim of a disrupted home in Harlem. At the age of ten he is sent to Wiltwyck School at Esopus, NY, a correction school for delinquent boys which was founded by the Protestant Episcopal Church. With the aid of the psychiatrist and counselors he receives the training and emotional comfort which help him rehabilitate his personality.
