The Primaries, Part 2: The Democrats--A Party in Transition

Covers campaign speeches prior to the 1968 presidential election and gives a look at the political atmosphere during the 1968 Democratic primaries. Includes portions of speeches by Humphrey, Kennedy, McCarthy, and Martin Luther King. Shows the rioting and violence which occurred during this period, and the reactions of McCarthy's supporters to Kennedy's assassination.
