The Phantom Freighter

Portrays two hours in the life of a special cargo aircraft. This 727 jet roars into an airport at sunrise, packed with containerized freight. It is quickly and automatically unloaded, and converted for commercial passenger use. During this change-over, the viewer sees the men and machines involved in making an airport function, types of commodities shipped by air, and the maze of occupations and equipment behind the scenes--all with a minimum narration. Filmed at Lambert-St. Louis airport.
