Description: Follows David, a fifth-grade student, during his first day at a new school, illustrating his anxiety about making new friends, his curiosity about the other students, and his lack of knowledge about games played at recess. Asks how the welcome he received could have been improved and how the children coud have helped him to adjust. Provides for the projector to be turned off prior to the concluding scenes showing how the students might have helped David feel more accepted.
