Introduced by Henri Langlois, co-founder of the Cinematheque Francaise, interviews important directors including Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut, and Agnes Varda regarding the making of their first films, their theories and motivations for making films, the initial success of the movement, and reasons for its subsequent failures.
