Description: In this training film from the C.L. Sonnichsen Special Collections Department of the UTEP Library, the cast acts out different scenarios with disgruntled customers to teach Avis Rent-a-Car employees how to provide better customer service. Highlighted by several songs about customer service, the theme of the film is Avis' then new motto, "We Try Harder!"Among those featured in the film are Humphrey Davis who had parts in “Annie Hall” and “Alfred Hitchcock Presents . . .”, Tovah Feldshuh who was later in “Kissing Jessica Stein” and “Law and Order,” Candice Earley who went on to star in “All My Children” for 15 years, and Gene Kelly's brother, Fred Kelly, a musical theatre actor in his own right. El Paso native Glen Moore and graduate from the Texas College of Mines, now the University of Texas at El Paso, wrote the words and music for the songs in this training film.
