Description: This brief and un-narrated film shows the operation of the narrow gauge locomotive #476, a 2-8-2 Mikado built by the American Locomotive Company or ALCO, on the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad (D&RGW). The same engine was sold to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNG) in 1981. The film opens with shots of steam locomotive 476 (:18).
