Description: Episode of Series “Horizon”. Mondragon in the Basque region of Spain, is an industrial town where more than 80 factories are co-operatively owned by the workers. All this has been created with scant help from a suspicious government and no funds from stock-market investors. It has run successfully for twenty-five years. The workers run the factories and appoint the managers, run their own bank, technical college and research laboratories.
