Shows the first developments in sand paper and the early construction of steel wool using fine sheering knives, then shows early industrial machines involving hundreds of knives that strip the steel wire into fine shreds. Continues on the process involving the many forms of steel wool: large rolls, small scouring pads for washing pots and pans, small strips, large strips. Film shows warehouse full of boxes of steel wool.
