The Man who planted trees

In this animated parable, a self-effacing shepherd, Elzeard Bouffier, single-handedly nurtures a forest of oak trees. Determined to revitalize the barren, impoverished Alpine region in which he lives, Bouffier plants thousands of acorns as he tends his flock. At first, only a few take root, but gradually, more survive, fostering the growth of grasses and attracting the badly-needed rains. Before long, prosperous farms and villages dot the once-forsaken landscape.
, A beautifully animated parable about how the power of determination can turn a desert into an oasis. Based on the book by Jean Giorno.
