Shows the humanities as a record of man's past achievements and develops, through music, words, dance, art, theatre, and thought, man's expression of his need to communicate. Uses dramatizations and location scenes in the presentation of continuing themes that flow through literature and the other humanities. Examines the feelings and concepts presented by the past which help man to comprehend his actions and existence. , Reviews the vast cultural history of Western society from its earliest beginnings to the Renaissance. Attempts to provide, through a sense of past accomplishments, a concept of what the humanities are and what they have to offer.
