Description: Presents a case history of a grievance from the initial causes to the final settlement. The film's purpose is to stimulate discussion of grievance procedures in industry and why they are important. ; Depicts the settlement of a case by a grievance committee in a factory, when an employee who loses her job initiates the grievance procedure to review her case. Stresses compromise between the contending parties in order that human rights not be ignored in a rigid execution of the terms of the labor-management contract. Emphasizes the need to organize grievance machinery within the company to help avoid arbitration on a larger scale.
