Description: Students at Degrassi Junior High become embroiled in a battle of the sexes when the girls' swim team, having won a spot on the city finals, is derided by one of the boys on the soccer team who belittles the girls' accomplishment. A swim meet is planned to determine whether the boys or the girls are the best athletes. Snake, a star swimmer, is recruited to boost the boys' chances, but feels that he is competing for the wrong reasons. Melanie is asked to represent the girls' team, but is reluctant to participate because she is entering puberty and experiencing body changes. Confiding their mutual trepidations, Snake and Melanie decide to face their problems head-on and enter the competition. In the end, Melanie's fears are lifted and she leads the girls to victory.
