Description: A year on a farm in Sweden through the changing seasons. A mother fox preys upon a hen coop, the farmer preys upon the fox, the farmer's dog preys upon a fox cub, a lynx preys upon the dog. An old man chases a hungry otter, and a small boy rescues the otter and, aided by his younger brother, secretly and with great difficulty cares for the otter through the long winter months.
