Description: When a strange bat-like creature flies over Sinbad's ship, one of his men shoots it with an arrow causing it to drop a golden amulet on the deck. Recovering the golden treasure, Sinbad earns the enmity of Prince Koura, well versed in the black arts. Pursued by the malevolent prince, Sinbad comes under the protection of the Grand Vizier, who was terribly burned by the magic of the same evil prince, and who also possesses an amulet. If it and Sinbad's amulet are placed before a great spiritual entity in the Temple of Many Faces, absolute power will be bestowed. Sinbad makes his way to the islands of the temple accompanied by the drunken Haroun and a beautiful slave-girl named Margiana. Following myriad adventures including battle with a six-armed Kali and encounters with a one-eyed centaur, a winged griffin, a tiny homunculus, and a group of blue men, Sinbad confronts Koura in the temple. The film's many perils were created by the movie's producer and special effects expert Ray Harryhausen using a technique called Dynamation. (Circulates). Genre/FormFeature films. Action and adventure films.
