The French Revolution: The Terror

Dramatizes the political influence of Robespierre, following the French Revolution, in degenerating the Revolution's noble ideals into a forced reign of terror. Indicates that the terror involved the deaths of many hundreds of thousands of Frenchmen and that Robespierre attempted to prolong the terror indefinitely. Points out that, paradoxically, Robespierre loved mankind but cared nothing for individual lives.
