Description: Presents a full documentation of the MA-8 six-orbit mission piloted by Astronaut Walter M Schirra, Jr, October 3, 1962. Pictures of the powered portion of the flight through capsule separation together with unprecedented pictures of the final phase of parachute descent and touchdown in the Pacific Ocean add to the film's uniqueness. Portrays the voice of Astronaut Schirra, from his report to the nation following the flight, coupled with recordings of exchanges between the pilot and his ground communications.
