This segment of CBS' 30 Minutes presents Jimmy McGovern, a high school dropout and one-time street brawler, who has decided to channel his energies toward fighting in the ring. Shows Jimmy preparing for the quarter finals of the Golden Gloves competition. Although Jimmy is defeated in the semi-finals, his loss only strengthens his determination to become a professional boxer.
