Description: This home movie from the Hunt Family Collection captures a 1941 trip to the El Ranchotel, a dude ranch owned by Conrad Hilton. Captured are the grounds of the hotel, where guests don western wear as they hang out around the gleaming white adobe structure and with the horses. Of note is an excursion in which a group on motorcycle, horseback and donkey climb Sierra de Cristo Rey, one of the border mountains overlooking El Paso.
