Description: In this romantic comedy, Marian Duncan, an American dancer, climaxes her theatrical success in Russia by becoming the fiancee of Vladimir Orloff, a young Army officer, unaware that the Grand Duke Alexandrovich is also in love with her. When Marian refuses the nobleman's gifts and advances, the enraged duke has the lieutenant arrested. Marian flees to another city; Orloff manages to escape and follows her. There, Marian and Orloff, mistaken for the grand duchess and her adjutant, accept the people's homage. The grand duke arrives but instead of denouncing Marian, insists on accompanying her to her suite where Orloff is hiding. The true grand duchess arrives, and Alexandrovich, fearful of his jealous spouse, forgives Orloff and sanctions his marriage to Marian.
