Description: Dr Ridgeon was awarded a knighthood for his claim that he can cure tuberculosis. In 1906 he was approached by the young and lovely Jennifer Dubedat. She wants him to treat her husband Louis, a penniless artist. But he scorns all trappings of conventional morality, being a feckless liar, thief and seducer.
