Includes introductory and concluding commentary by Ossie Davis. Shots of the people building the dam using limited technology. Men haul stones by tying them to wooden poles and carrying them in groups of four people. There are immense scaffolds with masses of people carrying materials up them, and some cranes. Footage shows many aspects of the dams construction by both men and women.
