Description: Classroom film on the Northern Australian export beef industry. Historical survey shows introduction of beef cattle to Australia by Governor Phillip. Gives detailed account of beef-raising areas, stock routes and mustering procedures, and indicates importance of the industry in Australia’s economy. Adoption of modern transport methods, in particular, has done much to raise the quality of Australian beef. Suitable for upper primary and lower secondary levels.
