The Canterville ghost

This animated adaptation is the story of a 300-year-old ghost and his attempts to frighten the human inhabitants from his house. Realizing that their home is haunted, the Otis family finds the phantom's ghoulish pranks amusing causing Sir Simon the ghost to become disgusted with his unsuccessful efforts. Finally, Virginia, the sensitive daughter, discovers why the specter cannot seem to leave her family alone. Centuries ago, Sir Simon was blamed for his wife's untimely death and when he passed away, no one gave him a proper farewell. In order for Sir Simon and the Otis family to co-exist in peace, Virginia plans a fitting funeral service.
