This whimsical film combines animation and live action to explore the relationship between an artist and his creation. A little boy fashioned of wood comes to life and is placed in a magical box filled with brightly colored cut-out structures. The artist and the boy exchange drawings. The child is joined by a girl and together they enjoy activities in country and city landscapes.
