Description: Describes the efforts of the Boston Sons of Liberty to force ship owner Francis Rotch to send his ship back to England without unloading its cargo, the first shipment of tea to arrive in Boston harbor under the new tax act. Rotch is unable to get a pass from the Governor to let the ship through the British guns and men-of-war. The Sons of Liberty, disguised as Mohawks, leave for the wharf and the famous dumping of the tea into the harbor., Recounts, through the adventures and tragedies of Johnny Tremain, the colonists' resistance to unjust taxes and unreasonable laws. Reveals the ideals of the men who formed the Sons of Liberty and relates their unsuccessful attempts to repeal the British acts. Depicts the controlled destruction of the tea aboard three ships in the Boston Harbor without damage to the ships or injuries to their crews.
