The Boarded Window

This filmed version of Ambrose Bierce's classic horror story opens on a rustic setting in which a grave is being dug near an old cabin. As minimal narration relates the history of the deceased elderly hunter, the audience is left to ponder why the cabin's only window is boarded up. Flashback re-create the circumstances surrounding the death of the man's young wife years before, and the story's climax is both surprising and chilling.
