This educational film, produced by Houston’s PBS affiliate, KUHT, is believed to be “The Big Thicket: A Crossroads in the Texas Forest.” This film was made by KUHT producer Paul Yeager and narrated by Texas humorist John Henry Faulk, originally released in 1985. It examines the role of the Big Thicket forest region in Southeast Texas, focusing on its history, economic role, and preservation as the oil boom and commercial development endangered the forest and both its plant and animal inhabitants.
