The Bear

In British Columbia, 1885, a bear cub named Youk is orphaned when his mother is killed by a landslide as she tries to extract some honey from a beehive. Left to survive alone in the wilderness, Youk teams up with Kaar, a large Kodiak bear who has been wounded by hunters. They experience many adventures in the wild until they are finally able to seek shelter in a cave and begin a long, untroubled winter sleep. (Circulates).
