Description: Transcription: Narrator Once upon a time, there were two drivers. 0:01 One got terrific gasoline mileage 0:04 because of the way he drove. 0:06 While the other one got terrible mileage. 0:08 For example, he'd make jackrabbit starts, 0:10 (indistinct), but they wasted gasoline. 0:13 And instead of driving at 50, he'd race along at 70, 0:16 using about 25% more gasoline. 0:20 Naturally, he wasted so much gasoline 0:23 he was forever stopping to refuel. 0:26 But he never checked his tires. 0:30 Never slowed down gradually at stop signs. 0:32 Never had tune-ups. 0:35 All of which would give him more miles to the gallon. 0:37 When he got home, 0:40 he was too tired to do anything but hit the sack. 0:41 While our other driver had saved enough money 0:45 to take his family out to dinner. 0:47 The moral of our story, 0:49 haste makes waste. 0:51 And Texaco thinks that's important to remember 0:53 during the energy shortage. 0:56
