Complete Record: Commentator Neal Arden discusses the architectural history of Lincoln Cathedral in Lincolnshire, England, first built in the 11th Century by the Normans. There are no actual moving images but rather a series of detailed, realistic drawings are used to illustrate the narrative. The camera pans across these drawings to create the illusion of space and occasionally, photographs are also used. Arden’s hysterical commentary is full of outrageous, grandiose descriptions. He discusses the cathedral’s architecture section by section and century by century through the course of the English Middle Ages.
