Description: A sophisticated city dance, a warrior's dance, and a fiery desert dance by a nomad girl of the western Sahara, make up this study of folk dances among the isolated North African Berber tribes., Discusses the background and customs of the Berbers of Morocco, and shows three types of Berber dances. Shows first a dance done by men and boys as entertainment for city dwellers, then a war dance, and third, the Jug Dance, performed by girls for the entertainment of men. Explains the significance of some of the dance steps and postures.
