Description: Uses animation to show the nature and behavior of stationary transverse waves. Identifies positive and negative displacement and phase reversal, and illustrates incident and reflected waves on a moving string which is fixed at both ends. Shows how two opposite waves cancel and reinforce each other at the nodes and antinodes respectively to produce a wave of double amplitude.
