[Music] foreign [Music] my [Music] um this story is about a little boy named stanley one day stanley was sound asleep although it was 10 o'clock in the morning the little fish couldn't awaken him so he called his friend the rooster [Music] he asked him to help but the little boy didn't waken up there at the foot of the tree was a dog they asked him to help [Music] as they wondered what to do next a frisky old goat danced over to the tree and the animals ask him to help wicked [Music] stanley then they heard a great big bull who said i will waken the boy [Music] stanley opened his eyes and yawned and the animals knew he was awake they also knew that no boy as big as stanley should be asleep in the morning when he wanted to fish they knew he was lacking lacking in what makes bulls strong in what gives goats drive in what makes them glad to be alive you can't beg or buy it it's a matter of diet stanley knows that diet means food he thinks of the fine breakfast his mother prepared but he just ate a bun because he was in a hurry now the animals knew why stanley was tired and they knew of the five kinds of food a little boy needs to stay well and decided that they would see that stanley got them so they all climbed on the bull's back the bull walked over to a railway track and stepped on and away uh cow thought stanley he looked at the list and there at the top was milk the cow explained that to be safe for little boys to drink milk must be pasteurized and suggested that they follow her [Music] the bull left the track and trotted after the cow to a small clean building there a kind farmer gave them a bottle of milk [Music] stanley checked milk off his list and saw that the next thing to get was fruit [Music] the bull stopped beside a big orchard he stepped off the track again and carried his passengers over among the fruit trees some fruits like oranges grapefruit or tomatoes are best but any fruits big or small are good for little boys to eat every day [Music] so much for fruit thoughts deadly now for vegetables [Music] even as the animal sped along the railway track an old vegetable truck rattled toward the crossing nearer and nearer and nearer and nearer they came until there sit standing we have carrots cabbage and potatoes next is bread and cereal [Music] some grains like oats are made into breakfast cereals stanley finds that the best cereals are whole grain some grains like wheat are made into flour and the best bread is made from whole wheat flour [Applause] stanley and the goat checked off cereal and bread that left only meat the bull drew up beside a big engine the dog whispered something in the boy's ear they left the other animals to get some meat [Music] engines and bulls both need fuel to keep them running on time the rooster spied an old friend [Music] he collected an egg for stanley who by this time had found a butcher shop the dog did his very best tricks for the butcher and the butcher was so pleased that he not only gave the dog a bone but he gave stanley a fine cut of meat [Music] but the bull was impatient to be off as they sped back home stanley and the animals checked the list and made sure they had everything milk fruit vegetables bread and cereal and meat or he might have got fish [Music] stanley thanked the animals and ran home as fast as he could to show his basket of food to his mother he rushed into the house and there before him on the table was a basket of food exactly like his own stanley thought mother must have been on a long trip too she explained to stanley that she got everything quite easily right around home then stanley decided that eating the right food was easy and it was fun do you
