The tale of Conradin, a seemingly passive 10-year-old boy, captive of a dominant guardian - a boy with such a passionate and vengeful imagination that he transforms his pet ferret into an object of frenzied worship. The strength of his belief is tested and in a macabre ending, his prayers are answered.
