Montgomery, Sr. of Spartanburg, South Carolina from c.1926 to 1987. The collection contains 108 16mm films, 15 8mm films, and 50 Super 8mm films. The films cover a wide range of subjects, and many have comprehensive lists on the cans of the people and events depicted. Many are family films covering birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and graduations. Others cover hunting and fishing trips with friends, as well as vacations and travel. Several films depict life and work in Startex Mills, and trips to various countries in Europe and Asia concerning the textile business. The Montgomery family donated the collection to William Richardson of South Carolina ETV. Richardson would then donate the collection to MIRC in 2012.
