Opens on night club stage with big band, men dancing while holding golf clubs; cuts to Day and Pamler alone on a terrace singing the song.

2. 12th Street Rag- Liberace, Dorothea Pinto, Doris Claire, Anne Mace; 1943

Liberace at a white piano with the singers standing around in gowns. Glamorous, fake backround with white bay window.

3. Loch Lomond- Martha Tilton, Ben Pollack Orchestra; 1941

Behind opening titles, men in scottish military garb warble by wiggling their adam’s apples. Then Martha Tilton walks onto the set in a sexy Scottish outfit with a couple of Scots holding their bagpipes (pretty phallic). Sexy Scottish Chorus girls do a jig in short plaid skirts and puffy shirts.

4. San Antonio Rose- Herbie Kay and his Orchestra, Ken Nealy, Mimi Kellerman; 1941

Big band in white tuxedos on a night club stage. Nealy and Kellerman sit on a bench. Mimi has a vaguely western blouse. Cut to a woman in brown face and a really weird string dress does a sort of erotic dance with a rose in her teeth. She isn’t on the same stage as the band?

5. Two Guitars in Jive- “Featuring Amarilla,” Stan Kenton and His Orchestra: 1942

Two guitarists play in a cantina, where everyone is in “Mexican” garb. A few girls in spanish/gypsy/belly dancer clothes get up and start to dance. Their boyfriends get of the floor eventually and dance with them. . Finally, the lead dancer (Amarilla) gets up and shows them all how it’s done.

6. Red River Valley- Jimmy Wakely and his Oklahoma Cowboys and Cowgirls; 1944

Very Western-looking band sit around a cantina strumming on their instruments. Everyone has on snazzy shirts and hats. Three girls in vests harmonize. Band includes: Double bass, slide guitar, accordion, acoustic guitars, fiddle.

7. Rhumba Specialty- Luba Malina; 1943

Luba is alone on a fake western street scene, wearing a low cut “spanish” dress. Lots of plants and other props line the background. At a cue, several pairs of dancers in south of the border costumes appear on the stairs behind her and start to dance. Fun ensues.

8. Seven Beers With the Wrong Woman: The Answer to Seven Beers with the Wrong Man- Snub Pollard, Greta Granstedt; 1941

Opens with the Chump in bandages starting to sing about drinking with the wrong woman. Fades to the bar scene with the chump in a neat suit and bow tie, and the girl comes downstairs in a frilly dress. The husband saunters up wearing a Davie Crockett hat and beats him up with the bartender.

9. Bearcat Mountain Gal- Cindy Walker, Lou Fulton; 1942

Opens in the woods with girls in short dresses on a seesaw and one churning butter. Two mountain men push the seesaw. The butter girl sings about living on the mountain but wanting her own man. Silhouettes of the girls dancing with mountain men. She captures one who doesn’t seem enthusiastic. He’s wearing a racoon cap. ends with the new guy churning the butter and all the girls on the seesaw.

10. American Patrol- Borrah Minevitch Harmonica Rascals; 1943

Behnd the opening credits we see several guys on huge harmonicas in outdoor-type clothes, fishing vests, etc. They are all on a stage with different kinds of harmonicas.

11. Old Shanty Town- Johnny Long and his Orchestra; 1943

Opens on suave looking big band ona stage, wearing tuxes. Instrumental piece.

12. Hawaiian War Chant- Mabel Todd, Chief Satini, Hilda Puailoa; 1942

Opens with overhead shot of two people in grass skirts doing the hula, apparently in spotlight, and we see shadows of palm trees. Cuts to MS of the two on a round small stage surrounded by white tourists watching them dance. A Victorian looking woman with big glasses and goofy teeth pulls the tourists aside and says she wants to loosen up and learn Hawaiian. She takes off her hat and starts to sing a fake hawaiian nonsense song, while everyone looks confused. Eventually she gets into it, starts dancing, and takes off her glasses too. Ends with the Hawaiians dancing and everyone happy.

13. Scrub Me Mama With a Boogie Beat- Gary Gordon and his Orchestra, Meredith Blake, Cliff Ferre; 1941

Guy sitting at a white upright piano is surrounded by musicians in casual clothes, and we see people sitting on railings behind them. Singer has a bob and polka dot suspenders. A man comes in and starts to tap dance.

14. Western Rhythms- Tex Ritter; 1943

Opens with a man playing an accordion solo in front of a black curtain. Cut to a guitarist apparently next to him? Then another, then a long shot of the club as it starts to fill with people and the song continues. Everyone is in Western wear. Cut to the band sitting on top of a box car, shots of the train tracks passing by.

15. Bugle Call Rag- Borrah Minevitch Harmonica Rascals 1943

Behind the credits are the harmonica rascals, including a midget sitting on a barrel and a very large man in boy’s clothes. Many sight gags ensue, mostly at the the expense of the midget.
