Some Australian birds

Description: The work of the wild life survey section of the CSIRO. Includes close study of the function of the lyrebird’s mimicry; the nesting habits of the mallee fowl, a shy bird which builds a high mound; the king penguin which lives on Macquarie Island in large colonies, and the Tasmanian mutton birds which support a small industry.
