Description: A brief history of the shipbuilding industry in Australia, and a record of the designing, building, launching and trials of an Australian ship. Includes the initial planning by the designer; the steel stockyard, building berth and fitting berth; and the slip-way where the ship is constructed and launched, and after which all the fittings such as radar, wireless, and rigging are installed. Also sea trials and handing over.
