Description: A hilarious spoof on readers and non-readers as seven Dutch authors watch people do everything but read: they throw books, walk on them and sit on them. But the joy one young man finds in reading is contagious and the film ends happily for all. Uses the styles of well-known film directors and Seurat's famous painting, "Sunday in the park," for a take-off point. The relationship between the author and his public is also emphasized Summary Presents a fantasy about writers who appear in a park where people are walking and playing. The writers, unobserved, watch the .eople as they withdraw to shelter from a heavy rain. The writers withdraw to their libraries and from this parallel isolation the message of their work penetrates the outside world. Produced in Holland.
