Description: Ion Popescu-Gopo's animated short subject ȘAPTE ARTE (THE SEVEN ARTS) was created in Romania, and released in 1958.  This print was published in 1972.Of the film, the director said, "In A Short History I drew the story of the Little Man who is born from nature and then begin the conquest of nature decorated with flowers. I wanted to sketch in a few caricatural lines the genesis of the seven arts, giving each of them one minute projection at most."A humorous depiction of the development of human culture by the first caveman, who, frightened by his own shadow, attacks it with his axe to create the first work of art. By accident, the first examples of architecture, drama, literature, and music come into existence. No narration.
