Description: In the opening sequence, an evil genius, trying to concoct a damaging chemical poison, duplicates tobacco smoke as an insidious public addiction. The film goes on to demonstrate the problems created by smokers who pollute the air. While some people think only the smoker is harmed by cigarette smoke, studies reveal that in a room with smokers, the non-smokers are smoking too. What they inhale is even more harmful than mainstream smoke because secondhand smoke escapes from the burning end and is not filtered, and contains more carbon dioxide. Cancer and other related illnesses are discussed. Children who are exposed to cigarette smokers are more likely to develop bronchitis, pneumonia and other respiratory ailments.
