Description: During one fishing season, Heather and Billy's father was lost at sea for two harrowing days. He is reluctant to take his children out on the water and as a result, they are the only children in Newfoundland port who have never been out in a fishing boat. Fifteen-year-old Billy is old enough to remember the terrible time of his father's disappearance and fears the sea. Ten-year-old Heather was too young to recall the incident and yearns to go out on the water. Her spirited determination helps change her father's mind and bridge the gaps that have developed between family members.
