Women pose on the Travis County Courthouse steps, while boys direct traffic and play baseball. KVET radio hosts a country music broadcast to celebrate the 30th anniversary of air mail, and a new Pioneer Airlines plane is christened with a bottle of champagne. African American girls cook and craft at Camp Duncan, while Boy Scouts learn semaphore at Camp Tom Wooten in Bastrop.
